Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs: Some people confuse dental assistants with dental hygienists. While hygienists clean teeth and remove plaque and tartar, dental assistants don’t handle these responsibilities. However, that doesn’t mean that dental assistants aren’t just as important for office operations.

FAQs: Dental assistants who take x-rays must hold a certificate to do so from the Ohio State Dental Board. We get this for you at Assist To Succeed.  It is included in your tuition.

Individuals may also become Certified Dental Assistants (CDAs) by meeting certain criteria and passing an exam. CDAs may polish teeth and place sealants in addition to providing all of the services that a dental assistant can.  If our students would like to go on to take the CDA board exam, we pay for this too!  We want to support you in your endeavor!

FAQs: The course runs for 10 weeks and is offered 4 times a year at our locations.  All of the training is online and clinical hands-on is on Saturdays.  Check out our scheduled dates here.
